Local progress and settings

Ordinary operations, world-conquest progress and control/display preferences are stored locally in the game's Windows user-data folder. This includes the operation state, queued orders and player-reviewed data-only tuning packs. Named Free Play worlds and ordinary operation progress are saved locally through the game's save controls. The fictional Atlantis chapter has its own session and campaign boundaries; follow the available save interface for the mode you are playing.

Local save files are not uploaded to TalkToAI by the game. Keep a backup before changing or removing local data. The game does not require a TalkToAI player account. The current core game does not include online multiplayer, advertising or game-operated analytics.

Optional OpenAI Commander / Mod Designer

If you choose to use the Commander, enter your own OpenAI API key for that running session. The key is held in memory and is not written to the game's saves or preference files. Turning the Commander off, clearing the key or closing the game clears the stored key field.

When you explicitly press Send, the game makes an HTTPS request directly to OpenAI. It sends your instruction and a bounded snapshot of known game information, such as friendly units, detected contacts, owned buildings, available actions and relevant operation context. The API key authenticates the request. Do not type passwords, private documents or other sensitive information into the instruction box.

The game requests store: false for these API responses. OpenAI handles API requests under its own policies and account terms; this option does not guarantee zero provider retention. Read OpenAI's privacy policy and API data controls before enabling it. Provider API usage can incur charges to your account.

In Mod Designer mode, the request instead includes your instruction, relevant operation context, baseline unit and building tuning options, the current data-only tuning pack and permitted multiplier limits. A pack name or description you choose can be included. Mod proposals must pass the local data validator before you can apply them.

A returned plan is a proposal. It changes nothing until you review it and explicitly Apply. The ordinary game rules still determine whether each action is accepted. The core game remains playable with the Commander off.

Windows and Microsoft Store

Microsoft and Windows may handle diagnostics, installation, licensing or transactions under their own settings and terms. Those platform services are separate from this game's local saves. The game is available from Microsoft Store. The 0.29 update was submitted on 13 October 2026; public delivery has not yet been confirmed at the recorded check.

This website and support

This page does not ask for an API key or run the game. The promotional video connects to YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player when you choose Play; YouTube then handles video playback under its own policies. The direct Store and YouTube links open their respective services. Website hosting practices are described in the TalkToAI website privacy notice. If you email support, the recipient receives the contact details and information you send. Remove API keys, credentials and unrelated personal information from screenshots or logs.
